Normally, I'd feel a little guilty for "just scrolling." But this time, when a project manager checked in to see if the project was on track, I sent her links to the first 30 videos.
Because sometimes scrolling is the job.
Audiovisual translation is more than just dropping subtitles on a video. It's research, pacing, cultural nuance, and deciding whether a bitter wind should be "frigid" or simply "cold." Subtitling is a great place to start.
